“Innovation”. It’s in vogue. Everyone wants a “Culture of Innovation”. We know how to do that. It’s not easy, it’s a multi-step process. It takes time and money. But the payoff can be immense.

As with many things, it starts with executive commitment. Not just the nice note to all employees, but an actual understanding of what you are getting into and a commitment (aka $$) to make it happen. What are you expectations as a leader? What are your innovation goals as a company? How much are you willing to pay to fulfill those expectations and goals? We start by helping you clarify that.

Then we lay a foundation. Something is needed to “mix it up”. Did you know that your existing staff has an amazing set of interests, hobbies, prior work experience, ... that can add to your innovation environment today? Let’s go find those folks and get them talking. Add to that outside speakers. And to say there is a plethora of free material from universities, research institutions, and (when CAREFULLY vetted) YouTube, would be an understatement. We use all that as a foundation.

But then we need to build a structure that will yield real ideas. How do we take all this talk and turn it into new businesses for you? We setup a series of processes that leverage these discussions and focus them towards actionable business strategies. Does every idea go unicorn? Of course not. If one out of a hundred seeds takes root we’re doing well. And one bad experience can ruin the entire crop. So volume, consistency of purpose, and ongoing commitment at the highest levels are vital (starting to see the connection back to our starting point)?
